parents who think HP is the devil probably don't think twice about plopping their little-tots down in front of the telly and putting on Disney's Cinderella, which has magic in it, as does Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, the Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Pinocchio, Sword in the Stone, etc. Disney films are FILLED with both negative and POSITIVE uses of magic.

Not to mention the parents who refuse to let their children have anything to do with Harry Potter, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, etc. -- but they drag their children out to watch Passion of the Christ, which is overloaded with blood and gore. It seriously makes me question their priorities.

Ban HP from schools, but then also ban ALL fiction because guess what, MOST of that revolves around some kind of magic in one form or another, and replace them with...what? bibles? yeeeeah...oh, and ban books like Macbeth and most works by Shakespeare. Witchcraft and spirits, all of it. Besides, what did that man ever do for english literature? seriously! XD

Yes! I get everything I need straight from the Bible! I have no need of becoming more cultured through literature! Why? When I have all of the books of the New Testament memorised! Seriously, my mother told me about someone who actually memorised several books from the Bible. Wow. Free time on our hands much? Someone needs to broaden her horizons.

Don't get me wrong. I'm a Christian, and I think it's important to heed what the Bible says, but when that's all you ever do or think about, I think something is very wrong. God made other things for us to enjoy, so we should enjoy it. He gave each of us our talents to share with others, so we should always be well-rounded in many things.

And yes, I'll say it again: I think people who get paranoid about the media are silly. I read an article once that condemned Pokemon for being 'Satanic', because a woman wrote to her preacher once about how her grandson threw a fit over her trying to take his Pikachu action figure away when he was playing too rough. Uh-huh. I'm sure it has to do with that possessed figure! It can't be the fact that his parents aren't raising him properly!

Yes thankyou ^^ I agree. I hate it when Christians goes around freaking out and being stupid about Harry Potter and stuff like that. It is embarrising. My aunt is like that XP Luckily my parents don't care. Heck they watch HP with me. But yet these parents let their kids watch these Disney movies that is full of magic. Yes so stupid.
